A game that captured the hearts of players with its unique concept and charming visuals during its Steam Next Fest debut, SCHiM is now ready to make its full debut on July 18th. Dutch developers Ewoud & Nils announced that their highly anticipated game will be available on multiple platforms, including Steam, Xbox One/Series X|S, PlayStation 4/5, and Nintendo Switch for just $24.99 (regional prices may vary).
SCHiM, which translates to “shadow” in English, is a story-driven indie platformer that follows the journey of a lost shadow trying to find its way back to its human. The beautiful abstract world is filled with hidden stories and intriguing details, all waiting to be uncovered by players.
During its preview at the Steam Next Fest, SCHiM quickly gained attention and surpassed 200K wishlists, with over 50K players trying out the demo. Rock Paper Shotgun praised the game, calling it “pretty froggin’ delightful“, while IGN Benelux couldn’t help but highlight its charm, stating, “After playing SCHiM for just half an hour, I already realized it’s a very special game.”
