Liverpool based developer Milky Tea is gearing up to release its highly anticipated game, Grit and Valor – 1949, in 2025. This new game, set in an alternate reality Europe, will be published by Megabit – Aonic’s new publishing arm dedicated to supporting video game studios.

Grit and Valor – 1949 is a dieselpunk real-time tactics roguelite that takes players on a thrilling journey through a Europe where World War 2 is still raging and the Evil Axis controls the continent. As the last hope for ending this brutal conflict, players must join the resistance and escort an EMP device into the heart of enemy territory to destroy their mech production and communication headquarters – Machine Tower.

According to Benjie Clarke, Managing Director of Global Publishing at Aonic, this game perfectly represents the reason why they built Megabit – to support experiences and studios like Milky Tea. Grit and Valor – 1949 is set across four distinct regions, each with its own unique gameplay mechanics, challenges, and randomly generated battlefields. Players must use their elite squad of mechs to protect the Command Vehicle and escort the EMP device while facing hordes of enemy waves. To ensure victory, players must think fast and utilize the terrain and environment, as well as exploit enemy weaknesses.

With fast-paced real-time tactical action, players must also configure their Mech squad to fit each mission and make use of the right powers, Pilots, and upgrades after each successful run. This combined with roguelite replayability, makes each playthrough in Grit and Valor – 1949 a unique experience, ensuring that every battlefield is as unpredictable and deadly as the last.
