The Cyberpunk Metroidvania Blade Chimera to be Delayed

PLAYISM and WSS playground have announced a delay in the highly-anticipated release of Blade Chimera, the latest metroidvania game created by Team Ladybug. Originally set to release in August, the game’s release date has been pushed back to allow for additional polishing and quality improvements.

Team Ladybug, the team behind popular metroidvania games such as Touhou Luna Nights and Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, has once again brought their unique blend of stunning pixel art and immersive gameplay to the table with Blade Chimera. In this game, players take on the role of Shin, a Demon Hunter who has lost his memories and is now accompanied by his powerful sword, Lumina, to uncover his past and defeat hordes of twisted monsters.

Blade Chimera‘s premise is simple, yet captivating. Lux, the demon transformed into Shin’s weapon, allows players to manipulate time and space to explore a dystopian cyberpunk world. With the use of various weapons such as daggers and guns, players must battle against these creatures known as “demons” who have been terrorizing cities for the past 30 years.

The game also features a skill tree system, where players can unlock new skills to aid them in their journey. As they level up, points can be spent to enhance their abilities, making for a more personalized and strategic gameplay experience.

Team Ladybug’s pixel art has been praised for its detailed and beautifully animated characters and environments. And Blade Chimera is no exception. From the harsh yet stunning world to the intricate details of every gunshot, players will be immersed in this post-apocalyptic world.

The decision to delay the game’s release was not taken lightly. It was made in order to ensure that Blade Chimera meets the high standards set by Team Ladybug and Playism. The development team will be using this time to further polish the game and improve its overall quality, providing players with the best possible experience.

Despite the delay, fans eagerly await the release of Blade Chimera on the Nintendo Switch and Steam. And with the promise of an even better and more refined gameplay experience, it’s safe to say that the extra wait will be worth it.

So prepare for a journey filled with action, mystery, and stunning pixel art. Stay tuned for further updates from Playism and WSS playground as the new release date for Blade Chimera will be announced soon. In the meantime, keep an eye out for more exciting details about the game, and get ready to dive into this captivating world where the past holds the key to the future.
