Post-apocalyptic RPG Broken Roads Releases on Switch with Multiple Updates

Exciting news for RPG fans!

Independent game studio Drop Bear Bytes has officially launched their highly anticipated isometric RPG, Broken Roads, on Nintendo Switch today. Players can dive into the immersive world of post-apocalyptic Australia for the price of $34.99 / £31.49 / €34.99, with an additional 20% launch discount. The game is also available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles for $39.99 / £32.99 / €39.99.

To celebrate the release on Nintendo Switch, a brand new trailer has been revealed, giving players a taste of what to expect in this unique and engaging RPG experience. Developed by a team of passionate CRPG fans led by Colin McComb, known for his work on acclaimed titles such as Planescape: Torment and Fallout 2, Broken Roads has already garnered attention and praise since its PC and console release earlier this year.

With multiple updates released since its initial launch, the game has only improved and expanded upon its initial success.

“We’re all really happy to see Broken Roads launch on Nintendo this week,” expressed Craig Ritchie, Game Director at Drop Bear Bytes. “We designed the game to run great on handheld from the beginning and we’re excited to see what Switch players think of it, especially since they’ll be experiencing the best version of the game from day one.”

Broken Roads takes players on a journey through a thoughtfully crafted post-apocalyptic world, blending exploration, strategic turn-based combat, and philosophical choices. The game’s classless system offers near-unlimited character development options based on four different philosophies: Humanist, Utilitarian, Machiavellian, and Nihilist. Adding another layer to the gameplay experience is the Moral Compass system, where dialogue options and questing decisions are influenced by a character’s philosophical leaning and their tough choices along the way.

One of the most impressive aspects of Broken Roads is the level of authenticity in its world-building. The locations in the game have been carefully recreated from real-life towns and landmarks in West Australia, with the team documenting their trips with photos, videos, and audio recordings. The game’s atmospheric soundtrack, composed by Tim Sunderland, further adds to the immersive experience with its use of instruments constructed from everyday objects.

In addition, the game’s stunning visuals and captivating storytelling have been applauded by critics and players alike. With its release on Nintendo Switch, even more players will have the opportunity to explore this unique and captivating world.

Don’t miss out on the chance to experience Broken Roads on your preferred gaming device. Play as a lone traveler on a journey of survival and self-discovery in this gripping RPG. Purchase Broken Roads on Nintendo Switch today and embark on an unforgettable adventure.
